About Summer School
The current business environment is becoming more and more international and culturally diverse. Therefore, leaders constantly face new challenges related to international trade, cross-cultural communication and effective human resources management. Our two-week program addresses a variety of these issues, including European business environment, cross-cultural communication, personnel management, diversity in organizations, etc. Students will take part in seminars and workshops and go on study visits, which will help them to understand various aspects of international business-relations and management in global organizations.

Profile of Participant
Our Summer School on Global Management responds to the needs of future managers, planning to work for international and multicultural organizations. Typically, the course participants come from various national, cultural and educational backgrounds. The summer school is open to all students who hold Bachelor, Master and Doctoral degrees and have an interest in business management and European business culture.
Program of Study
On the first day students will get acquainted with each other through various workshops and activities. This will help them to work effectively in groups or individually during the following days of the course.
2. Effective Cross- Cultural Communication
The workshop will give students the possibility to develop skills necessary to communicate effectively with business partners from various cultural backgrounds.
3. European Single Market and Opportunities for International Business
The seminar will provide students with knowledge of various types of regional economic integration, the European Internal Market as well as the development of the Eurozone and its implications for international business.
4. Weekend Trip
We will take studients on a weekend trip to Kraków, the first capital of Poland, to provide them with some historical and cultural background of the country. It will also be a good opportunity for more informal integration of the group.
5. Multinational Corporations in Europe and Beyond
The course will allow students to learn about the functioning of multinational corporations in Europe and beyond. It will also cover topics such as Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and capital flows.
6. International Leadership and Human Resources Management
The interactive class will provide an insight into the modern-day leadership in a global context. The topics will include talent and potential management within a team, in various areas of business.
7. Motivating Teams and Individuals
The class will teach students effective and successful management of individuals and teams in an organization.
8. International Negotiations
The course will provide participants with an insight into the negotiation process in an international environment.
9. Study Visit
The key to success in international business is an ability to translate theory into practice. The study visit will allow students to develop an understanding of practical applications in global management.
